Weekend vacation for relief
A break from the pain
To quell deep rage
Skinned knees covered in dirt
Oh, brief holiday from sadness and loss
Yearning for semblance in spite of grief
How hard does the pit of my stomach grip
When all is lost and all is nought
Weekend vacation beneath the earth
Like a seed planted, a flower crushed
Comfort the locals longing for peace
Looking for light to the east
Now must I take this three day break
To ease cut side, hands and feet
Hurt by a world full of hate
Hurt by a world full of hate
Till home I return to remake
